Dongjin Park of Seoul, South Korea, came back from a two-stroke deficit to win the Boys Division at the International Junior Golf Tour’s Faldo Series Florida Championship. Park opened the tournament with a 1-under-par 71 that included three birdies and an eagle. That left the senior two strokes off the pace heading into the final round. Park quickly erased the deficit with a bogey-free 6-under-par 30 on the front nine. The 18-year-old finished the final round at 6-under-par 66 after carding a birdie and a bogey on the back side.  Park’s final round matched the lowest of the tournament. Park finished T6 at the 2017 Daniel Berger Junior Championship.

Sophie Guo of (China) Orlando, Florida, was the only junior in the Girls Division to finish under par at the Callaway Golf / Ollie Schniederjans Junior Classic at 3-under-par 213. Guo was also the only golfer to card multiple under-par rounds with her first-round 3-under-par 69 and second-round 2-under-par 70. The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill verbal commit carded a total of nine birdies through the first two rounds and entered the final round with a seven-stroke lead. Guo finished the tournament with a 2-over-par 74, but it was still enough to win by six strokes and secure her fourth AJGA victory. She is currently ranked No. 18 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.

Cameron Piedra of Coral Gables, Florida, topped the Boys Division at the FJT at Stoneybrook Golf Course at 6-under-par 138. Piedra carded four birdies and an eagle on his first-round 3-under-par 69 to get within one of the lead heading into the final round. The sophomore came back for the victory after firing four birdies on his bogey-free front nine and five overall for his second-consecutive round of 3-under-par 69. He finished third at the 2017 AJGA Junior All-Star at Talbot supported by The Frana Family.

Yoona Kim of (South Korea) Fair Lawn, New Jersey, came from behind to win her first AJGA tournament at the AJGA Junior All-Star presented by Explore York. Kim was one of only a few juniors in the Girls Division to post an under-par round with her first-round 1-under-par 71. Even so, Kim entered the final round one stroke off the lead. The sophomore carded two final-round birdies on her way to a 2-over-par 74 that was just enough for a one-stroke victory. Kim finished the tournament at 1-over-par 145. She is No. 99 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and had a total of five top-10 finishes in 2017.
