Boys Division (High School):

  • Akshay Bhatia of Wake Forest, North Carolina, won after carding a 1-under-par 143. The 15-year-old won two AJGA events in 2016: The AJGA / CJGT Junior at Yorba Linda and the IZOD AJGA Championship. Bhatia, a Rolex Junior All-American, is No. 60 in the AJGA Rankings. 
    • 2nd: Cam Barackman (Virginia Beach, Virginia)
    • 3rd: Patrick Carlin (Raleigh, North Carolina)

 

Southeast Junior Golf Tour Brunswick Junior Classic

Brunswick Country Club, Bunswick, Georgia

Girls Division:

  • Abbey Daniel of Covington, Louisiana, carded a 1-over-par 145 to win by 12 strokes. The 16-year-old finished second at the 2016 David Toms Foundation Shreveport Junior and is currently No. 135 in the AJGA Rankings. 
    • 2nd: Catie Craig (Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia)
    • 3rd: Madyson Moy (Orlando, Florida)

Boys Division:

  • Won: Andrew Chong (Grovetown, Georgia)
  • 2nd: Brent Hamm (Warner Robins, Georgia)

Lakecliff Country Club, Spicewood, Texas

Boys 15-18 Division:

  • Jake Kuwitzky of McKinney, Texas, won the Boys 15-18 Division with a score of 8-under-par 134. The 17-year-old has made a verbal commit to Texas Tech University and is No. 111 in the AJGA Rankings. Kuwitzky won his first AJGA event in 2016 at the Valero Junior Texas Open.

  • Ryan Grider of Lewisville, Texas, carded an even-par 210 to win by three strokes. The 18-year-old Rolex Junior All-American has two AJGA career wins at the 2016 Toyota Music City Junior and the 2015 Bishops Gate Golf Academy Junior at Horseshoe Bay.

Girls Division:

  • Elina Sinz of Katy, Texas, carded a tournament total of 233. Currently No. 168 in the AJGA Rankings, the 15-year-old had four top-10 AJGA finishes in the 2016 season.
