From Bob...

I significantly value this opportunity to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association, and I chose this particular disease due to solely one reason: My maternal grandmother suffered from this disease. When she was first detected with this disease, our entire family freaked out, because anyone with a little knowledge of the disease knows that this illness is incurable. But this did not stop my family from trying to turn the fate. My maternal relatives spent a numerous amount of both time and money trying to change the "myth," but unfortunately, nothing stopped her from leaving us. This unfortunate event happened when I was only an elementary student, but the horridness of the memories still haunt me today. My family and relatives are still under significant effects by this event because they feel the guiltiness from of the unfulfillment of the filial pieties, even though they did the best they could. In conclusion, I sincerely hope that no one else should suffer from this dreadful disease. Therefore I want to do anything that I can in able to help the ultimate cure for this horrifying disease, with this, I signed up for the leadership links program. I was pleasantly surprised when I heard from a friend that I could help the Alzheimer's Association through AJGA, and I immediately signed up that night. Once again I am extremely thankful for this opportunity, and I hope that I can help out more in the future.
