Champions Report: July 16

AJGA Junior All-Star presented by Bryan College Station Sports & Events

Matthew Griggs of Prosper, Texas, shot an 8-under-par 205 to claim the Boys Division title and his first AJGA win. Griggs topped the field by three strokes. Maggie Ni of Cypress, Texas, won the Girls Division title at 8-over-par 221. This was the 13-year-old's first AJGA victory.

AJGA Junior All-Star at Hunter Ranch

Lana Calibuso-Kwee of Wailuku, Hawaii, won her first AJGA event in her first start. The 15-year-old finished at 2-over-par 218 and won by one stroke.  Darien Zhao of (Canada) San Diego, California, carded a 6-under-par 210 to claim the Boys Division title by one stroke. This was the 15-year-old's first AJGA victory.

D.A. Points Junior Championship sponsored by Pekin Insurance and UnityPoint Health

Kornkamol Sukaree of (Thailand) Huntington Beach, California, shot a 9-under-par 207 to win by 11 strokes in the Girls Division. This was Sukaree’s second straight victory and seventh overall. Luke Ambrust of Wheaton, Illinois, won his first AJGA title by one stroke at 4-under-par 212.

Amino VITAL® Junior Championship

Ian Siebers of Bellevue, Washington, fired an 8-under-par 208 to win his first AJGA tournament by five strokes. This was Siebers’ third top-10 finish of 2018. Ahra Ko of Suwanee, Georgia, outpaced the Girls Division field and claimed her first title by six strokes at even-par 216. The recent high school graduate won in her second AJGA start and has signed a National Letter of Intent with Northern Illinois University.

WinCraft / McArthur Towel & Sports Future Legends

Connor Glynn of Waconia, Minnesota, claimed honors in the Boys Division for his first AJGA title. The University of Minnesota verbal commit carded 13 birdies en route to an 8-under-par 208 and a four-stroke win. Emily Lauterbach of Hartland, Wisconsin, shot a 3-over-par 219 to win her first AJGA event. The University of Wisconsin verbal commit finished T3 in the 2017 event.

New Era Junior Championship

Nathan Ingram of Pembroke, Massachusetts, finished at 4-over-par 220 to claim his first AJGA title. The rising senior carded a par on No. 18 for a one-stroke victory. Lauren Peter of Carmel, New York, won her third AJGA title after carding a 1-under-par 215. The Ohio State University signee was the only player in the field to finish under par.
