- The first Golfweek Junior Tour event of the year saw four AJGA players take home top-five finishes, including Garrett Willis, who took home a victory in the Boys 16-19 Division.
- Willis, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, played in the Memorial Junior presented by Ohio Christian University as well as the AJGA City of London Junior Championship in 2016 and has played in 24 Golfweek Junior Tour events since 2014. This was his first Golfweek Junior Tour victory.
- Luke Miller, also of Fort Wayne, Indiana, placed in the Boys 16-19 Division as well, tying for fourth place. Miller's last AJGA appearance was in 2015 at the
TaylorMade-adidas Golf Junior All-Star at Stonehenge.
- The other Boys Division award winners included Drake Biggs of Carmel, Indiana, who took home solo-second in the 13 and Under Division, and Jonathan Filler of Fort Wayne, Indiana, who finished third in the 14-15 Division.
