Cameron Smith and partner Jonas Blixt survived an inspired comeback from Kevin Kisner and Scott Brown to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in a playoff. After Kisner chipped in for eagle to force the playoff on Sunday night, Smith hit an approach shot inside five feet on the fourth hole of the playoff before sinking the birdie putt on Monday morning.
The win was Smith’s first on the PGA TOUR and comes almost seven years since he last competed with the AJGA at the 2010 Thunderbird International Junior. Kisner was a two-time Rolex Junior All-American with the AJGA from 2001-02, while Brown last played with the AJGA in 1999.
