Wednesday Morning at the Swinging Skirts AJGA Invitational

Karah Sanford had the first round's only eagle on Tuesday.

Closing Hole

The leader groups on Wednesday will finish on No. 18, a par-5, 513-yard hole. The longest hole on the course could prove to be key down the stretch. Three of the top-four players birdied the hole, despite the hole only relinquishing seven total birdies on the day.

Sanford’s Eagle

On Tuesday, co-leader Karah Sanford of Escondido, California, capitalized on the shortest par-5, scoring the lone eagle of the day on the 457-yard 11th hole. The eagle came after a 3-wood to inside 10 feet, capping a birdie-eagle stretch that took Sanford from even-par to 3-under-par. With drier conditions on Wednesday, more players will look to go for the green on No. 11.

Leaders go Head-to-Head

Joining Sanford in the leader group will be Caroline Curtis and last year’s runner-up, Yujeong Son. Curtis closed her first round with four birdies in her final five holes, while Son tallied four birdies and only one bogey to card a 3-under-par 69. The leader group will go off at 8:50 a.m. PST. The rest of the second-round pairings are available here.
