The United States claimed its second Solheim Cup title under captain Juli Inkster and its 10th in history on August 20. It's also the fifth time the United States has taken titles in the PING Junior Solheim Cup and the Solheim Cup in the same year (2002, 2005, 2009, 2015 and 2017). PING Junior Solheim Cup alumni Paula Creamer, Brittany Lang, Brittany Lincicome, Lexi Thompson and Angel Yin competed for the United States. Other AJGA alumni included 1995 Rolex Junior Player of the Year Cristie Kerr, AJGA Foundation Board member and tournament host Stacy Lewis, Rolex Junior All-American Lizette Salas, two-time AJGA champion Austin Ernst and 2017 KPMG Women's PGA Champion Danielle Kang. Team USA secured the 16.5-11.5 victory at Des Moines Golf and Country Club over Team Europe, captained by Annika Sorenstam.
Ollie Schniederjans finished runner-up to Henrik Stenson at the Wyndham Championship, home to the Haas Family Invitational presented by BB&T, at 21-under-par 259. The 2009 Polo Golf Junior Classic champion had never finished higher than T3 on TOUR. With his finish, the Georgia Tech graduate looks to play in all four legs of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

A week after finishing runner-up, Talor Gooch earned his PGA TOUR card with a win on the Web.com Tour's News Sentinel Open presented by Pilot with a tournament-total 18-under-par 266. Last week, Gooch tied for the lowest round of his career with an 8-under-par 64 and followed that up with a 6-under-par 65 in the final round Sunday. The Oklahoma State University alumnus played in 26 AJGA events, including a win at the 2008 Aldila Junior at Oak Tree.

Former Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Junior champion Mark Blakefield earned his first career professional victory at 20-under-par 264 at the National Capital Open to Support Our Troops. The University of Kentucky alumnus and Rolex Junior All-American had never finished inside the top-10 on tour. Blakefield played in seven AJGA events from 2000-01.

Scott McCarron won his fourth PGA TOUR Champions event at the DICK's Sporting Goods Open. The AJGA alumnus tied his career low with an 11-under-par 61 in the third round to propel him to the top of the leaderboard and ultimately win at 18-under-par 196. McCarron played in four AJGA events from 1980-1983.
