Li played in her first AJGA event in 2016 and won the 2017 ANA Junior Inspiration to earn an exemption into the LPGA’s first major of the year. She also won The PING Invitational for her second AJGA Invitational win of the season. The 15-year-old was a member of the 2016 U.S. Junior Ryder Cup Team and 2017 PING Junior Solheim Cup Team.
