Tournament Storylines

Justin Thomas
Louisville native and PGA TOUR player Justin Thomas is hosting his second AJGA tournament. As a junior golfer, Thomas was a two-time Rolex Junior All-American and three-time AJGA Champion.
Harmony Landing Country Club
Harmony Landing Country Club will host the AJGA for the first time. The course is Thomas' home course. His father Mike Thomas serves as the PGA Master Head Professional at the course.
Justin Thomas Onsite
Justin Thomas will be onsite to conduct a clinic and meet with tournament players on Friday, April 21.
Inaugural Champion Returns
In 2016, Nicolas Osterburg of Indianapolis claimed victory via a sudden-death playoff. This year he is back to defend his title. If he wins the event, he would be the only Boys Division champion in the events history.

Media Accommodations

The Strategic Communications / Justin Thomas Junior Championship presented by Phocus will have AJGA communications representatives on hand to assist media throughout the week. Prior to the tournament the AJGA will provide information about the event and its participants, as well as assist with player interviews.

After each round, media officials on-site will write a recap with the day's results. These will be emailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors may be conducted before or after tournament rounds.

The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.
