Ringgold
Telphone Company and the AJGA Connect
Company to Sponsor Junior Golf Event
Ringgold
Telephone Company (RTC) and the American Junior Golf Association
have united in a three-year partnership that will bring
a national junior golf tournament to the city of Ringgold,
Ga., the AJGA announced Friday.
As an AJGA Tournament Sponsor, Ringgold Telephone
Company has an opportunity to highlight our area and our
tradition of community involvement while supporting junior
golf, said RTC Executive Vice President Phil Erli.
I think that the RTC and the AJGA will have a positive
and productive partnership.
The Ringgold Telephone Company Junior Classic, a 54-hole
stroke play event, will take place June 9-12 at WindStone
Golf Club in Ringgold.
Were excited that the Ringgold Telephone Company
has made this event possible, said Jason Etzen, AJGA
executive vice president of development. The community
has really embraced this tournament and were looking
forward to a great event.
Ringgold is home to Luke List, a 2002 second-team Polo
Golf Junior All-American who notched three top-15 finishes
in AJGA tournaments last season. The Baylor School senior
will be playing golf for Vanderbilt University this fall.
