Steel City Junior Classic to be Held at Totteridge Golf Club

Golf Club will play host to the AJGA's Steel City Junior
Classic July 21-24, the AJGA announced Tuesday. Located
in Greensburg, the new course will see top juniors from
around the nation compete in the 54-hole, stroke play event.
The AJGA is excited to bring a tournament to this
area of the country, said Peter Ripa, AJGA chief operations
officer. Totteridge is one of Pittsburgh best new
courses, and we look forward to a fine event there.
The Steel City event is one of 70 tournaments the AJGA will
conduct in 2003. The open tournament will feature boys and
girls ages 13-18 from the Pittsburgh area and around the
nation.
Totteridge Golf Club is extremely excited to host
the Steel City Junior Classic in its inaugural season,
said Sean Farren, Totteridge Golf Clubs head pro.
Western Pennsylvania is famous for hosting some of
the premier championships in golf, and we are excited that
the AJGA will become part of that tradition.
Totteridges par-72, links-style course offers a demanding
7,154 yards from the back tees. The courses signature
is its use of natural fairway mounding, selective bunkering
and lightning fast greens to provide junior players
continuous challenges.
