Amanda Blumenherst, a three-time
Rolex Junior All-American, lead the Duke women's
team to a come-from-behind victory at the Mason
Rudolph Women's Championship. The Blue Devils
finished with a three-day total of 878 to win
by three strokes over Georgia, while Blumenherst
captured the individual title with a 54-hole total
of 208.
On her way to claiming individual honors, Blumenherst
became only the second Duke freshman to win her
first collegiate tournament. Her final-round 68
earned Blumenherst a five-stroke victory over
Vanderbilt's Jacqui Concolino and Maria Martinez.
