AJGA’s 2005 schedule is nearly complete as more than
70 tournaments are already on the slate for the upcoming season.

Series events scheduled for March 18-20 in California, Georgia
and Texas.
The summer season begins May 27-30 with the Thunderbird International
Junior. The AJGA returns once again to the Grayhawk Golf Club.
For the fifth straight year, this invitation-only tournament
will bring together the most talented junior golfers in the
world at one of the premier golfing venues in the country.
Many of the AJGA Invitational Tournaments return to their
2004 venues. The FootJoy Boys Invitational will once again
be hosted at the Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club and Lodge will again be
the home of the HP Boys Junior Championship in July. The McDonald’s
Betsy Rawls Girls Championship makes a return trip to White
Manor Country Club in Malvern, Pa.
The Capital City Club, home of the 2003 American Express Championship,
will host this year’s Canon Cup. The top juniors from
the East and West will face off for their annual battle, taking
place on Capital City’s Crabapple Course in Alpharetta,
Ga.
The Nike Golf Junior Championship returns this year to Langdon
Farms Golf Club in Aurora, Ore. This event will again feature
the top 12-15 year olds from the Nike Golf Junior All-Star

at The Bridgewater Club in Carmel, Ind.
This year, the AJGA will host a new invitational tournament
to be held Sept. 30-Oct. 2. The Fore!Kids Foundation Top 100
will take place at the Tournament Players Club of Louisiana.
The tournament will be the last event before the Polo Golf
Junior Classic.
The Nike Golf Junior All-Star Series will add a trip to Mishicot,
Wis., and returns to familiar stops in Quad Cities, Iowa;
Jackson, Miss.; and Jacksonville, N.C.
The Capital City Club in Alpharetta, Ga., will host the 2005 Canon Cup. The annual battle between East and West will take place Aug. 8-11. |
The
First American Title Junior Classic will be contested at the
Westin Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Fla. This event will
take place on the resort’s Copperhead Course, June 27-30.
New locations for the 2005 season include trips to Redstone
Golf Club in Humble, Texas, and the Kansas City Country Club
in Mission Hills, Kan. Redstone Golf Club is home to the PGA
TOUR’s Shell Houston Open, while the Kansas City Country
Club will host its first AJGA event since the 2000 season.
Accompanying each open tournament will be an 18-hole qualifier.
Typically held the day prior to the open tournament, the qualifiers
give juniors an opportunity to “play their way in”
to an AJGA Open tournament or earn a tournament exemption
for a future event.
Holding with tradition, the Polo Golf Junior Classic will
round out the schedule, Nov. 19-25, returning for the second
consecutive year to the Sea Island Golf Club in Sea Island,
Ga.
Remember to check back periodically for updates to the 2005
schedule.
