for second at the U.S. Women's Open, carding rounds
of 71-73-70-75--289. |
Birdie Kim's improbable birdie
on the 72nd hole at the U.S.
Women's Open, sealed the victory and left Morgan
Pressel and Brittany Lang in a tie for second. Kim finished
with a tournament total of 3-over-par 287, while both
Pressel and Lang finished two shots back.
Pressel, who already has victories at the Polo Golf
Junior Classic, the Thunderbird International Junior
and the Rolex Girls Junior Championship this year, carded
a final-round 75. Lang, who will be turning pro this
fall, notched a 71 on Sunday.
Lorena Ochoa and Candie Kung finished tied for sixth,
while Cristie Kerr earned a tie for tenth. Both Kerr
(1995) and Kung (1999) are former Rolex Junior Players
of the Year. |
