Michael Kim shot
a 10-over-par 290 to earn low amateur honors at the 113th U.S. Open
Championship, becoming one of four amateurs to make the weekend cut.
Kim competed in AJGA events from 2008-2011, earning 2010
Rolex Junior All-America honors. He collected seven top-10 finishes, including
a victory at the 2008 Preseason Junior at Walnut Creek.
The 2013 Pac-12 Player of the Year at University of
California-Berkeley, Kim also won the 2013 Haskins Award and Jack Nicklaus
Award. Kim was a first-team All-American and the top-ranked golfer in Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings at the end of his 2012-13 season,
which qualified him to play for the United States on the 2013 Palmer Cup
team.

Sue Kim beat
Laura Kueny on the first playoff hole at the Decatur-Forsyth Classic Presented
by Tate & Lyle and Decatur Parks District to clench her first Symetra Tour
win. Kim finished her bogey-free round on Sunday with nine birdies for a
9-under-par 63 and a tournament total of 10-under-par 206.
Kim’s AJGA career spanned from 2006-2009, where she tallied
six top-20 finishes, including a T6 showing at the 2006 Wellstone Communities
Junior at Craig Ranch. In 2009, she played for the University of Denver. Kim
made four tournament appearances in one
season for the
Pioneers.
