One week after a runner-up finish to fellow AJGA alum Brandt
Snedeker, Kyle Stanley erased an eight-shot deficit and claimed his first PGA
TOUR title Sunday at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
Stanley played five years with the AJGA from 2002 through
2006 before signing a National Letter of Intent with Clemson. As a junior, the
Washington native won three national junior golf tournaments, including the
2005 HP Boys Junior Championship. He was a three-time Rolex Junior All-American
and amassed nine top-10 finishes in AJGA events.
