Inbee Park overcame
a two-shot deficit to capture her third LPGA Tour career victory at the Sime
Darby LPGA Malaysia, Oct. 11-14. After three consecutive runner-up finishes, Park
fired a 4-under-par 67 to win by two strokes and claim her second Tour title of
the year. In July,
she
won the Evian Masters presented by Société Générale.
Before turning professional in 2007, Park recorded eight career AJGA
wins from 2001-2005, including the 2002 Rolex Girls Junior Championship and the
2003 Rolex Tournament of Champions. The five-time Rolex Junior All-American and
2002 Rolex Junior Player of the Year won the U.S. Women’s Open in 2008, making
her one of five women in history to win both the U.S. Girls’ Junior
Championship and U.S. Women’s Open.
