- Pierceson Coody is one of three boys tied for the lead heading to the second round. Coody completed his first round with four birdies and no bogeys. He was the only player in the tournament field without a bogey during the first round.
- Twenty-seven players completed the first round at or under par. With increased wind speeds predicted for the second round, consistent play will be important.
- Six of the seven players in the top 10 heading into the second round are outside the top 15 in the Polo Golf Rankings. This tournament is a great opportunity for lower-ranked players to make moves in the Polo Golf Rankings before summer Invitationals.
